Palhares is DANGEROUS. I predict Hendo takes it to the ground and gets submitted. |
I agree: Palhares has world class BJJ, very strong, good chin..it would not be an easy fight for Henderson. If Henderson loses he is done..38 years old and 3 loses in his las 3 matches...
Still think Hendo could win because of his size advantage, reach, stand up takedown defense, wrestling and he has defeated and faced great BJJ opponents (as Big Nog)...It will be agreat fight indeed. |
Dans one of the best fighters of all time and hes only lost his last 2 to the 2 champions i dont think palhares has a chance at all BJJ VS Grego = Greco dominance |
agree...Hendo fought smart and won as I expected

Dan won as I expected, but he should have been able to finish it, every time Palhares failed a knee bar/leg lock and remained on the floor after Dan escaped THAT should have been his opportunity to slam his jaw into the canvas, but it might have been that Dan was just after a win pure and simple and was happy with the decision.
He only started having the finishing approach towards the end of the fight, but that might have been simply because he new the end was near.
Good performance none the less.

good job overall by dan, the fight was a bit boring but it had to be. The BJJ guy only knew BJJ and he was so good at it that the fight was really boring but overall Dan shows amazing sprawl. This fight made me hate BJJ tho.

Fuckin sick fight they were both on there knees trying to scramble up and Dan smashed him right across the face and dropped him from like 4 point stance position as palharas was on his knees
Fuckin Hendo hes such a beast he should fight Okami or the winner of Bisping and Leban for the title shot

Exactly... Hendo lost his last 2 fights which were to champions (at the time) and in different weight classes. I bet if Anderson Silva lost against James Irvin some would say, "well, he's just not good at 205. he belongs in 185".
Losing to 2 champs in different weight classes makes him overrated? I think not.
The real question is, what the hell was the purpose of "unifying" the belts if forrest griffin or anderson silva don't get to have both now? (like they do in boxing)

is im the only one who thought palhares should have won the Decision?
Henderson dident wanna go to the ground and was yust looking for the big shot to take palhares out... palhares had some takedown and nice kicks...
i might see this fight agien in some days and edit what i think but my first opinion was that palhares should have won!

Palhares's jujitsu is weak. What a pathetic display.. how many times did he flop to the ground after missing a take down?
