This fight will go down as a classic and rightfully so.

great fight... n mad props to forrest! He had a great gameplan and executed it to perfection... n that work ethic n workhouse mentality really pushed the pace!
although, it's gotta be said that.. that was barely anythin like the shogun of old. Must've underestimated Forrest and not trained properly... or maybe he really was trainin semi-injured going into the fight!... delaying knee surgery til AFTER the fight for reasons probably to do with pride (no pun intended).

Ha! Isn't it obvious that the fight's fixed when a Pride standout is beaten by a UFC up-and-comer...

Yeah, possibly it was fixed: first they bought off Pride, then they bought off former Pride fighters. I don't know.
Some people claim that Shogun's loss was due to roiding problems. Griffin was better roided - or Shogun's roiding got out of hand somehow.
Anyway, it was very stupid that Shogun was making those awkward takedown attempts all the time. He should have used Muay Thai, which is his strongest weapon. Griffin is like Rampuke: he doesn't have any defense against the clinch and the knees.
PS. The quality of the video here is really crappy. Please somebody post a better video.

well if pride never did drug tests then all of UFCs good pride fighters were on roids when they fought in japan. then they go off the roids to fight in UFC and get whooped bad without them.
hell, i bet rampage is one of those guys who slip through the radar like sean sherk. and im absolutely sure rampage is on steroids
