i almost feel bad for couture being sent into the ring with lesnar. he asked for it though, jumping in to show-ff against sylvia and forced to stay in a contract that led his old ass into a ring with lesnar.
just shows you bongtokes. that you can watch as many fights as you like but still not know anything about fighting. you have to fight yourself to truly understand it. your acting like a silly wee boy that gets taken in by hype and big muscles. brock should have stuck to wwe, bodybuilding or strongman competitions . he will always be exciting to watch and pull in the crowds that think he looks tough. same as bob sapp, but he will never be a world beater. randy cotour is a great fighter and will beat brock easily. the next fight will be much harder against either mir or nog. id bet you anything you like!

STFU man, its a fucking opinion, and my opinion is that i hope couture gets layed and pounded on for 5 rounds, and if brock can finish it(which i doubt he will), then that would be cool too.
you act like heath herring is some sort of can, did you forget about the 3 round onslaught that he put him through? and herring is a game opponent. i think brock has better wrestling and better cardio than randy. randy may have him in the striking department, but so did herring, and look what happened to him.
just because he had a career in gay ass fake wrestling doesnt mean he cant fight. he could easily break the top 10 with his skills
> Randy stated palinly after he moved down
to LH that he did not like giving up weight
in the Heavyweight div.
This is a potential disaster. Lesnar
not even knowing his own strength,
caught up in the hype/emotion
goes overboard beating Randy, and
causing a sad conclusion to Randys career.
Seriously Randy could get killed by someone
this big/strong/athletic/fast/stamina gone to sea.
Dana is probably hoping to pose Lesnar as
"The Man" to beat Fedor. That is his obsession.
Dana unsane worship of ASilva, is so obviously
done to deny Fedor fair due.
How would YOU like to eat just ONE of Lesnars
"best" shots?
This is a mismatch. LET them fight at
similar weight ? Randy would have to get fat
and Lesnar starve. Lesnar looks lean at 265.
No this is just wrong. Reminds me of setting
up "victims" for steroid pumped MKerr. Good job Igor!
Brazlians have a sense of fairplay with things
like giving away weight. That the larger shouldn't
try to punish the smaller as it would be unseemly.
But instead respect the fact the smaller is defacto braver.
Look at how Kerr looked after messing up FGurgel?
Gurgels people even had it as a Gurgel win, because
Kerr used ch.ckensh.ttery like pulling on Gurgels
cut, and those 14 headbutts. Why? Couldn't Kerr
just submit Gurgel? G-d knows he was big enough.
Couldn't just outstrike him?
I pray Lesnar doesn't let himself be another
Kerr type. Look at how all of Kerrs unecessary
brutality, came back on him. Just watch YAMMA
with Taktarov submitting him. What a sad sad
fat shell of his past. "King Kerr" he was once called.
American fighters should take a lesson
in Top Class humility and respect for others
from Fedor.
In Pride Fedor rebuffed attempts to get him
to trash talk, with "that would be disrespectful
to my opponent"! Hmm, I wonder why.
When will my American brethren catch this
clue?
Randy comes close. Hendo even more. But they
still seem to miss something about Truly Noble
Humility and the error of "Pride" (goes before a fall)
No one has even seen Lesnar tested. He dominated Herring - sweet, technically so did that O'Brian tool. Lesnar is just big. Lesnar can't out-wrestle Captain America. He doesn't have Captain America's boxing. Lesnar is just a big strong Viking.
I donīt think LEsnar is a better fighter than Couture, at all! But all his weight, brute strength and age will be just too much for a 45 years old man to handle.

i hope iīm totally wrong about that.
That's probably the most reasonable thing I've read on the issue. I second it.

Obviously age and size are working against Randy, but I truly believe that Couture can pull this off if he plays his cards right. He's not going to win a wrestling match with Brock Lesnar, and he isn't going to be able to wear Brock down and submit him. Randy's best (and maybe only) chance in this fight is to keep it standing and outbox Lesnar. Brock is too much of a beast on the ground, even for a wrestler the caliber of Randy. On his feet though, Couture is by far the superior fighter. He doesn't need 250lbs of muscle to be a devastating striker. I have to believe that if he out boxed Tim Sylvia (a fighter known for his stand up that's 6'9") and Gabriel Gonzaga (a beast of a man who KO'd Crocop), he will be able to do the same to Lesnar. I think Brock Lesnar has a bright future in MMA, but I hope to god he gets his ass handed to him by Couture.

See this is where MMA gets interesting...... I dont know how capable randy is of taking a size 3xxl glove to the face and i'm sure he cant wrestle with 265lbs+ of pure muscle and stamina?... he is really gonna have to avoid the takedown... but how do you avoid a 265lb+ charging human rhino? It doesnt seem logical... but then again MMA isnt about logic... its about will, determination, aggression, passion, and the ability to impose your will on another...
granted randy is already playing a mind game with everyone he fights with his age and his niceness... I dont know if that is gona help him... however this should not be an easy fight for brock .. it will take all of brocks mma knowledge wrestling skills, and intelligence(if he has any) to win this fight... he will have to do more than to lay and punch.... I dont know where this fight will end... but in danas eyes this is more of out with the old and in with the new

i can't believe some of you are talking about randy's age...what about it? are you serious or just plain stupid? the guy is fit like a 20 year old wrestler. if age is a factor, it's to randy's advantage since he's got a lot of fights to his record. a more inexperienced fighter, most likely a younger fighter, hasn't (maybe) been in really difficult situations like randy...the kind of situations randy has endured and overcome. are you understanding what i'm trying to say?
talking about randy's age when he's clearly fit like a stud doesn't make you look smart.
i believe strength will be a factor...weight too. but only because we're talking about brock, an agile and fast wrestler...he's a fucking monster WITH great wrestling. he's not another fat piece of shit like bob sapp. if you're saying "he ought to go back to wwe"...guess what? you're a fucking idiot!!
i hope randy wins so that we finally can see fedor teach his ass about mma. but if the fedor fight wasn't at stake i would hope for brock. however, i strongly believe brock will dominate the fight and break randy bit by bit.

Age is a factor no matter how good of shape Randy is in. He's obviously in phenomenal shape for any age, but you have to remember how many fights hes been in over the years. Yeah, that adds experience, but it also takes a toll on your body. Thats why most guys retire when they hit their 40's. The human body can only handle so much over time, even if its constantly in top shape. I don't think age is a huge factor for Randy, but when your dealing with an athlete the caliber of Lesnar, it does play a roll.

Yeah, I'm'a side with Patty on this one. There are a lot of brutal Ironman competitors well over 40 years old. What part of age is the factor? His recovery sucks, he admits that. But I dont see that being an issue.
Randy Couture: first person to tear out a person's heart directly through the sternum in the octagon.
