Can you answer me this much Hepponen....have you EVER been in any sort of fight? And hitting your younger brother when you were 5 doesn't count.
I don't fight, and I don't have a brother. Also I don't have a cage at home.
Do you think that one should not express any opinions on MMA unless one is a fighter? Then, probably, one should not say anything about politics unless one is a politician?

Haha, you are screwed!!!

I don't participate in politics. I am not a politician or political science major. However, everyone is affected by politics, and therefore has a right to argue politics within reasonable limits of their knowledge of politics.
Obviously a soccer mom doesn't know shit about how balance of powers works or the technicalities of "international law", but she does know the politics of her local school comittee, and has every right to argue about her sons' education. The soccer mom has enough experience with the school system to know what she's talking about. If she were to delve into international law and ramble on about something she knows nothing about at a UN meeting, she would just come off as ignorant and plain stupid, and would promptly be fired. Even if she watches channel 2 news at night, and the news anchor mentions the invasion of Iraq was illegal, she still knows jack shit about international law.
You are the soccer mom (and yes I set up an analogy if you haven't noticed). You are talking about things you only watch...you've never been in a real fight, you have never been punched in the face in a fight, and you don't even have brothers that you beat up or get beaten up on, yet you preach to others who HAVE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE in MMA that they are cowards. Who is the real coward? Rhetorical question there...and your plain ignorance on many subjects of MMA are sickening. Fedor would be ashamed to call you a fan!
You will probably not read all of this, so here's the short version: You fail miserably.

mount a heavybag to your ceiling and get some gloves, you dont need a damn cage
and I think the refs sucked they let the fighters take way to much punishment before ending a fight. thats one thing I really like about the ufc refs there professionals and they look out for the fighters.
Congratulations for the most ridiculous comment in this thread. You have no evidence for your claims.
The truth is that UFC refs are amateurs. Many fights have been stopped too early, and there has been lots of controversy. Also, recently somebody posted a video where Herb Dean (UFC ref) didn't stop the fight even after the bell.
In Pride there are only few cases where the fight was stopped maybe too early. And I don't know of any case where they stopped it too late, causing injuries to somebody.
Your comment about "looking for fighters" is typical American bullshit. You think that Americans are the only professional people who can do things in the right way. The fact is that you only want to make money - as much as possible, and by any means.
i think his post was completely accurate. pride was fuckin brutal, great fights, great knockouts, and great entertainment.. but the stomps, knees and kicks to the head of a downed opponent is straight up barbaric. people can die, and pride refs most definitley let the fights go on too long on many occasions.
you're asking for proof that ufc looks out for the safety of fighters? ummmm, they stop the fights earlier. maybe as a bloodhungry fan, yea pride is the shit because there is no regard for human life involved. if your an mma fan, you're looking for the better fighter, who wins technically and convincingly and shows great skills, knockouts are always awesome to watch, but you dont want to see someone's life end out there, how is that entertainment?
ufc rules are the most complimentary to the sport and to the fighters. it lets true mixed martial arts skill and training shine through, mma isnt supposed to be a barbaric bloodsport. have you ever heard a pride fighter come to ufc and complain about the rule changes, no, only simpleminded fans like urself hepotitus.
you guys had the most amusing argument i have ever read.
in Israel we solve arguments with our fists.
I suggest you guys solve this in the Israeli style.
I would pay money to see that.

That shit was fingering a girl for the first time good man.....I should've never washed that finger... the smell is LONG gone ; (~ ....({})
